Born and raised in Queens, N.Y., Meyer studied dance throughout her childhood and loved performing on the stage in dance recitals. She knew she wanted to act from an early age and was even accepted into New York's High School of Performing Arts, but her parents convinced her to follow a more traditional academic path. She majored in Business Administration and minored in French at Long Island University, and attended the Sorbonne in Paris. After graduation, however, she decided to pursue her acting again and studied under Ron Stetson.

Meyer made her film debut opposite Keanu Reeves in the action-thriller "Johnny Mnemonic." She went on to star with Dennis Quaid in the feature film "Dragonheart." Additional film credits include a starring role in "Starship Troopers" and "Bats", and a recurring role in the "Saw" franchise.

Television fans will recognize Meyer from her role on the Aaron Spelling phenomenon "Beverly Hills, 90210," where she played the adulterous professor Lucinda Nicholson, who had a torrid affair with Jason Priestley's character - a role that brought her to Los Angeles. She also had a three-episode arc on "Friends" as Joey's love interest. Already a favorite among science fiction fans, she starred as Barbara Gordon and her alter-ego, Oracle, in the short-lived series "Birds of Prey", which sparked an impressive campaign from its loyal fans to keep the show on the air. She also had a leading role on the late night drama "Point Pleasant". Other television credits include "Ally McBeal", the critically acclaimed Golden Globe Award-winning series "Six Feet Under", and appearances on "CSI: Crime Scene Investigation" and "CSI: Miami".

Meyer currently resides in Los Angeles.

Proper Fan Mail Etiquette

  1. If you want Dina to autograph a picture for you, please remember to include one! She doesn't have a fanclub to sell pictures at this time, so getting one is going to have to be your adventure. eBay is always a good place to start.
  2. If you want to get your picture back from Dina, you must always include a Self Addressed Stamped Envelope--that means an envelope with your mailing address printed on it with stamps already affixed. Remember to use an envelope big enough to fit your photo inside because you wouldn't want Dina to fold up your nice photo of her you went through so much trouble to get off eBay, because that would just suck.
  3. Last but not least, remember to put all your stuff in one nice big envelope so everything gets there safely.

Unfortunately, I can't give you an exact estimate on when you will get a reply. Actors are busy people and have limited time during their working day to do anything but learn their lines & shoot their scenes. I am told that if you follow proper etiquette, your chances of a reply are excellent. My advice is, don't look for it everyday and it'll come before you know it!
